Big Question mark | 커다란 물음표
Bible Verses
[마4:17] 이 때부터 예수께서 비로소 전파하여 이르시되 회개하라 천국이 가까이 왔느니라 하시더라
From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”
Summary
성경에 보면, 예수님은 ‘회개하라! 천국이 가까이 왔다!’ 이렇게 말씀하십니다.
예수님이 십자가에 죽으시고, 부활하신 후에 하나님 나라로 올라가셨지요.
그리고 나서 얼마가 안되어서 그곳에 큰 전쟁이 나서 정말 많은 사람들이 죽고 말았어요. 그때 예수님을 잘 믿었던 사람들은 천국에 갔을 거에요!
In the Bible, Jesus said, “Repent! Heaven is at hand!’ He says. After Jesus died on the cross, and after He was resurrected, He ascended to the kingdom of God. And not long after that, there was a great war and so many people died. Those who believed well in Jesus at that time must have gone to heaven!
온 세상의 마지막에 예수님이 다시 오시는 것을 재림이라고 하지요.
그때 예수님을 믿는 모든 사람들은 천국에 가게 될 거에요. 그러면, 그 마지막이 오기 전에 나이가 들어서 죽어가, 사고가 나서, 그렇게 생명을 잃으면 어떻게 되나요? 우리는 모두 천국에 가게 될 거에요. 하와이나 세상 어느곳보다도 아름답고 깨끗하고 행복한 곳, 어느때보다 건강하고 행복한 곳에 살게 되는 거죠.
The end of the world is called the Second Coming. Then everyone who believes in Jesus will go to heaven. So, what happens when you grow old and die before the end comes, you have an accident, and you lose your life like that? We will all go to heaven. You will live in a more beautiful, clean and happy place than in Hawaii or anywhere else in the world, healthier and happier than ever.
그런데, 만약 우리가 아는 사람들 중에서 예수님을 믿는지 잘 모르겠는 사람은 어떻게 될까요? 그 사람이 죽는다면, 그 사람은 어디로 가게 될까요?
끝까지 예수님을 왕으로 받아들이지 않은 사람은, 예수님의 왕국에 들어갈 수가 없겠죠? 천국은 예수님의 왕국이잖아요.
But, what if those people we are not sure if they believe in Jesus? If that person dies, where will that person go? Those who do not accept Jesus as their king until the end will not be able to enter the kingdom of Jesus, right? Heaven is the kingdom of Jesus.
그런데, 그런 사람들이 죽기 직전에 어떤 선택을 했는지 우리는 확실히 알 수는 없을거에요. 그래서 그분들이 지금 어디 있을까? 생각하면, 커다란 물음표가 생기는 거에요. 그래서 슬프고 걱정도 될 거에요.
By the way, we'll never know for sure what choices those people made before they died. So where are they now? When you think about it, a big question mark comes up. So it will be sad and worrying.
그런데, 예수님을 사랑하는 할머니나 할아버지가 돌아가시게 되면, 우리는 그립고 슬프긴 하겠지만, 그래도 확실히 알 수 있어요. 사랑하는 할머니가 행복하고 건강하게 아주 잘 살고 계실 거라고요. 물음표가 남아있지 않은 거에요.
But, when our grandmother or grandfather who loves Jesus dies, we will miss and grieve, but we can know for sure. The grandmother is living happily, healthy and very well. She doesn't have any question marks left for us.
그래서 보고싶고, 그립긴 하겠지만 그래도 가만히 생각하면 미소를 지을 수 있어요.
다시 하와이 보다 더 좋은 곳에서 만날 거니까요.
거기에서 더 행복한 날들을 시간 걱정없이, 할 일들 걱정 없이
이별할 걱정 없이 함께 사랑하며 살 수 있으니까요.
So we will still miss them, but still, if you think about her, you can smile at the end. Because we know for sure that we will meet again in a better place. Better than Hawaii. There, you can spend happier days together without worrying about time, without worrying about parting.
그래서 우리가 사랑하는 사람들 중에, 할아버지, 할머니, 삼촌, 이모들 중에 예수님을 믿지 않는 분들이 있다면, 어떻게 해야겠어요? 먼저 기도를 열심히 하고, 그분들을 만나면 예수님이 사랑한다고 말해주고, 보여주고, 허그도 해주고. 그렇게 예수님을 대신해서 사랑해주는 거에요.
So, what if some of the people we love – our grandfathers, grandmothers, uncles, and aunts – do not believe in Jesus? First, pray hard, and when you meet them, tell them that Jesus loves them, shows them, and gives them hugs on behalf of Jesus.
그분들에게도 커다란 물음표가 남지 않도록이요!
So that they don't leave a big question mark for us!

Prayer
사랑하는 하나님,
우리에게 예수님을 보내주셔서, 예수님을 통해서 하나님 나라에 갈 수 있는 자녀들이 되게 해주셔서 감사합니다. 죽는 것은 모두에게 슬픈 일이지만, 우리는 하나님 나라에 갈 것이라서, 슬픔을 지나면 기쁨과 행복이 넘쳐나는 곳에 갈 것을 믿습니다. 그런데, 우리가 사랑하는 사람들 중에는 그들이 어디로 가는지 모르는 사람들이 있어요. 그들을 위해서 더 기도하고, 예수님의 이름으로 사랑해주길 원합니다. 그래서, 내가 아는 모든 사람들 하나님 나라에서 모두 만날 수 있길 기도합니다. 예수님이 그들도 사랑하셔서, 그들을 위해 죽으셨다는 사실을 그 복음을 그들이 믿도록 도와주세요!
사랑하는 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다.

Dear God,
thank you for sending Jesus to us so that we can become children who can enter the kingdom of God through Jesus. Dying is sad for all, but we believe that we will go to the kingdom of God, after sorrow we will go to a place where joy and happiness abound. By the way, some of the people we love don't know where they're going yet. I want to pray more for them and love them in Jesus name. So, I pray that I can meet all the people I know in the kingdom of God. Help them to believe the gospel that Jesus loved them and died for them too!
I pray in the name of my beloved Jesus.
